Born and raised in the agricultural epicenter of America, the call of God on Jon Plotner came many years before he even realized it. As he walked through his life, an evident anointing was set upon him - the anointing of a pioneer. Working as a young boy with his father, he learned to plow, to sow, and to reap. And from these seeds that were sown, God began to grow this pioneer anointing.Feeling a strong call to teach, he worked his way through college and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ball State in 1991. For five years, he taught business in a Northwest Indiana high school. But he knew that there was more for him. And it was at this point that Jon felt God’s call to move him into full-time ministry. In 1996 he joined the pastoral staff of Living Stones Church.Always having loved music, he began leading worship at Living Stones Church for children, youth, and adults. But this became much more than just music. And God continued to move in His anointing of Jon, growing within him a heart of true worship. Through years of brokenness, growth, and passion, God has established a depth of wisdom and revelation in Jon that is clearly marked by Heaven.

Flowing in this pioneer anointing, Jon desires to train and equip others to understand and experience worship as a way of life. As an apostolic father, his greatest passion is training up the next generation of worshipping artists to prepare the way of the Lord. He has taken his heart of worship outside of his home church to pioneer at other churches and events both regionally and overseas, including China, India, Africa, and Mongolia.

Jon is currently overseeing the training of more than 100 worshipers, ranging from children to adults, in the Living Stones School of Worship Arts. In addition to this, he oversees the worship teams of three multisite church campuses located in Crown Point, Gary, and Chicago.

He and his wife of seventeen years, Charlene, are happily married and have two daughters, Selah and Samara, who they adopted from China. They live in Crown Point, Indiana.
